Scout Programs

The Scout Colonial Experience. Learn the ropes of colonial life in this hands-on style program. The program takes two hours and consists of two activities chosen from the list below. Each program also includes meeting many of the site’s heritage breed animals and the opportunity to explore the colonial house.

Scout programs are offered  Sundays, April through November. Must be booked at least 3 weeks in advance.
Programs will not be booked during special events. Please visit the Events & Programs page for event dates.

~Carding and Spinning Wool
~Colonial Toys and Games (participants will make their own whizzers)
~Blacksmithing (ages 7 and older)
~Papermaking (May-September)

~Tin Punching

Cost:
$16 per scout
$10 per adult chaperone
Scout leaders - Free
Minimum number of participants: 10
Minimum charge: $160

Scout Group Discount:
For scout groups wishing to visit the farm on weekends, but not schedule a particular program, a group discount of $1 off per person on admission is available.  This discount is available for groups of 10 or more. Please contact the office for available visitation dates.

The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation may be able to work with scouts to design and complete projects to help them earn various levels of achievements.  Please contact the office for more information.
